Kai Wayuu Sanchez-Warner is a multidimensional teen musician and performer born and raised in NYC. His music spans rock, blues, jazz and pop.
Kai recently won a prestigious YoungArts Award in 2025 at 17 as a singer/songwriter. He writes and performs his own music, and plays guitar professionally in live gigs and in the studio for pop recording artist Amaqui. He also plays jazz guitar in two ensembles in NYC, performing in legendary venues such as Dizzy's/ Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Harlem Jazz Museum, and Fraunces Tavern.
Kai is currently in the selective New Music Ensemble at LaGuardia Performing Arts High School where he is in his senior year (graduating 2026). He has studied producing at both NYU Clive Davis' Future Artists high school program and at Interlochen Arts. He has been awarded scholarships to study music at Berklee College of Music Aspire program/ City Music, Interlochen Arts, he has won a NY Philharmonic grant, and more.
Kai is classically trained as a vocalist, and is currently a songwriter, producer, guitarist, percussionist, electric bassist and composer who is expanding his reach. He is planning upcoming shows for his original music in NYC and beyond, please reach out below to discuss opportunities.
